For as long as I can remember, food has been a passion of mine.

​Not just cooking, but eating too. I have my grandmother to thank for igniting my interest in food, especially with her classic Wendy’s Chicken Pie – she began teaching me how to cook when I was 5 years old.

Let’s hope she is proud of the British classic with a twist from the travels in Sri Lanka, the first-ever Sri Lankan Chicken Pie

I looked up to people like Jamie Oliver and Gary Rhodes as I watched them on the TV, knowing that if I could learn how to cook like them, I would have good food on demand. As I grew up, I saw people & friends eating the same meals over and over (not to discredit the classic pesto pasta dish) and I wanted to help.

I wanted to inspire them to become more adventurous with food and be passionate about creating their own simple and delicious meals.

I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have an amazing team by my side, supporting our collective love for great food in the vibrant community of Croyde.

Tucker has been cooking at Biffen’s Kitchen since 2022, bringing his culinary expertise to the table as the head honcho chef! This dude knows his way around the kitchen, and his love for food is off the charts. Having Tucker on the team is like hitting the jackpot – he’s an absolute legend who loves chatting with customers (about food & football) and providing delicious street food in Croyde. Born and raised in Saunton, he is the true local out of the rest of the grockles.

Kelsey Cairns

Kelsey joined the team this year, but it feels like he’s been here from the start! He’s on the verge of becoming Dr. Cairns, specializing in Chemistry, focusing on metal triflate complexes. But that’s not all—Kelsey’s a food lover and flavour experimenter. He dreams of owning his own food truck someday, serving up unique culinary creations. With Kelsey around, we’ve got brains, skills, and tasty aspirations all in one package.
